Experience For much of the time since 1984 Greg has been an educator. He started advocating for the environment in 1973 by joining his school’s environmental club, subsequently starting several recycling programs. Starting in 1999 he organized against extending NAFTA Interstate 69 in Indiana. He also galvanized the public in an effort to protect thousands of acres of woods in Central Indiana. He advocated for converting a former monastery in Indianapolis into a park with Saving St. Maur. He also produced “The Urban Ecology Series” on Access Tucson [AZ].
Interests Economic scale; steady-state economy; fair distribution of resources; biodiversity; alternative assessments of social/environmental welfare; sustainable living; sustainable development; ecocity design (e.g., Arcosanti); environmentally and socially responsible commerce; hiking; camping; bicycling; vegetable gardening.

Experience In college Jim was a volunteer for and director of his college’s community service organization. Since 1984 Jim has done fundraising, including for a community development corporation, human services organizations and institutions of post-secondary education. For 15 years he renovated homes. He camped out numerous times with his family and youth organizations, including by leading 70 youths and adults on a campout in a cave. He and his wife have three children.
Interests A spiritual outlook on nature; environmental restoration; bicycling; exploration of nature; architecture, and sustainable design.
Jim’s slogan is “It’s all biological.”
